For months now we've been living with temperatures around 40°C (104°F). This week it even reached 46°C (115°F). Wildfires have broken out in our village as well.
The extreme heat is demanding on our rescued animals, and on us. We're creating extra shaded areas and have started a Code Red plan. Ventilation in the stables, heat-resistant shelters, and other adjustments are urgently needed to keep our animals safe now and in the future.
There's still a lot to do. Soon we'll share our complete heat plan on our website.
We're so grateful when you help our rescued animals. Here, they find a safe forever home, for the rest of their lives.
